In its final report 'Dismantling discrimination: Towards a government that combats and prevents discrimination and racism', the State Committee against Discrimination and Racism presents an action agenda for tackling discrimination by the government in both the European and Caribbean Netherlands.
The State Committee emphasises that discrimination can be embedded and hidden in laws, regulations, systems and work practices across policymaking and public service delivery. It therefore calls for a fundamental change of course: towards a government that not only stops discriminating, but actively prevents discrimination and contributes to equality and equal treatment.
